Sci-fi short film The Long Dig reveals a far-future in which most of the earth is covered in a mysterious purple mist - the aftermath of a long-ago war and unnamed cataclysm. Eve is a woman leading her companions on a daring excursion into the mist in order to discover old technology. Exiled, she believes discovering old, working technology will allow her and her team to return to the safety of their above-ground home. But dangers - both human and inhuman - are waiting for them within the mist.
