Afrofuturist-Dystopian-Post-Apocalyptic short PUMZI, written and directed by Wanuri Kahiu, is set in the far future 35 years after World War III has destroyed the earth’s ecology. Humanity now lives in self-contained underground bunkers across the glove.

At one bunker in East Africa, Asha, a botanist, receives a mysterious package containing a source of renewed hope for the planet. This hope will incite Asha to defy her totalitarian government, escape topside and embark on a perilous quest to seek the truth.
