Episode (31) 'INVADERS' - A Christmas Sci-Fi Short Film

INVADERS is a rare gem - a sci-fi short film set during Christmas.

Written and directed by Daniel Prince, the short chronicles the misadventures of a trio of tiny UFOs that invade a family’s home late on Christmas Eve.

After having amusing “first encounters” with the holiday decorations adorning the home, one of the UFOs has an incident that will change the holidays forever!

British-Nigerian writer and film director Tony Sebastian Ukpo is an accomplished independent filmmaker known for his distinct vision, collaborative spirit, and dedication to character-driven narratives.

Tony graciously spoke with us regarding his latest project, his director’s cut of his 2013 science fiction film After The World Ended.

Tony shared with us many of his personal thoughts on filmmaking, including what first sparked his love of science fiction, the dystopian setting and intriguing themes of After The World Ended, why he feels inclusive representation of marginalized groups onscreen makes for richer storytelling, and what he is currently working on next.

Episode (27) Sci-Fi Web Series 'SONA' Starring Ashley Clements

SONA is the 8-part science fiction web series created by, written, and starring Ashley Clements, former star of the groundbreaking web series The Lizzie Bennet Diaries.

Streaming on Legendary Digital Networks’ Alpha streaming service, SONA is set in the early 22nd century.

Humanity has achieved interstellar travel and in exploring the galaxy, has made first contact with many alien civilizations.

Clements portrays the titular Lieutenant Belyn Sona, who is a member of the United Earth Space Corps. In the opening scenes of the series, Sona finds herself within an escape pod marooned in deep space after the destruction of her starship, the Tarazed.

Using flashbacks, the series reveals Sona’s backstory, including the pivotal events which lead to her being castaway in space.

He talks about what inspired the creation of The Few, as well as the vision for its second season, entitled The Few: Dark Future, currently in production.
